Before the trip to Kribi we were asked to pay 20,000frs to the authorities. A reason we had to go down earlier to meet with some authorities and youth leaders in the community. However, on the deal day, we started at 7:00am in the morning with stretches while waiting for the council authority who had the keys to the SAR/SM where we assembled.
The staff came in at about 7:45am and we noticed the booked hall could not take a projector. This made us to use the entrance of the Chief of Staff’s office for the presentation. During the presentation, we used the Senior School presentation on how to live a healthy and active lifestyle. The presentation was really challenging since the youths there speak more of French than English. However, we did our best to make sure they understand thanks to one of the youth leaders who came in from time to time as a translator. This was one of the most challenging experiences ever and also the language difference brought a lot of distractions too.
After the presentation, we went out again, started with a walk and then we proceeded with the 2km run from SAR/SM to Rond Point Mokolo and back to SAR/SM.
We had more stretches at the end of the run and feedback from the participants. Some requested we create a whatsapp group for all the Youths who Run the World participants which will enable us all keep in touch for future activities if need be and also to encourage others keep up with the lessons of what was presented in their real life. Whatsapp contacts were collected during which a traditional dance presentation was done.

The programme ended at about 9:30 am with a group video which we hope to forward alongside other images and videos.
